Runway AI makes video a one-prompt job.

Runway AI is a family of video generation models developed by Runway, a company known for pushing machine learning into practical visual tools.

The first version, Gen-1, re-mapped existing video. Gen-2 added the first Text to Video features. Gen-3 improved realism and motion, while Gen-4 introduced sharper subjects and more cinematic movement.

The Turbo editions of Gen-3 and Gen-4 were released to make these models fast enough for everyday use, so creators could test and revise ideas without waiting long renders.

In getimg.ai, open the Video Generator, go to the Image to Video mode, and select Runway Gen-3 Turbo or Gen-4 Turbo. Upload a still image (anything from product photography to concept art) and write a short prompt describing the action or camera move you want to see.

If you choose Gen-3 Turbo, you can also upload a last frame to define the ending or create a loop. Pick your clip length and aspect ratio, then generate. You can adjust the prompt or image and run again until the result fits what you need.

Runway Gen-3 Turbo gives you full frame control: you can set both the first and last frame, perfect for loops, transitions, or scenes with a clear finish. It outputs 16:9 or 9:16 video up to 10 seconds long (5 seconds if a last frame is set), at 720p and 24 fps.

Gen-4 Turbo drops last-frame control but produces smoother, more natural motion and supports an extra 1:1 square format along with 16:9 and 9:16. It’s the better pick when you want fluid, cinematic clips across multiple aspect ratios.
