Runway AI: Models, Features & Alternatives
Some Runway models used to be available on getimg.ai, but not currently. Here's what you need to know about Runway's models, including the alternatives available via our Create video Action.
What is Runway AI?
Runway is an independent AI company, founded in 2018, best known for its Gen line of video generation models, some of which used to be available on getimg.ai. Runway continues on its own platform.
Runway's video model timeline
Runway's video models have moved through several generations. Here's the short version.
Runway's current flagship: Gen-4.5
Runway's newest model, Gen-4.5, launched in December 2025. It generates video from a text prompt or a still image. It made a strong debut, but the AI video space moves fast: a wave of newer models has since overtaken it, and it no longer sits near the top of the independent rankings.
Gen-4.5 is not available on getimg.ai.
Older Runway models: Gen-3 Turbo & Gen-4 Turbo
Two Runway models used to be available on getimg.ai: Gen-3 Turbo and Gen-4 Turbo. They're not here anymore, but here's what each one did.
Runway alternatives on getimg.ai
Runway is one video model among many now, and several current models are widely considered to be ahead of it. On getimg.ai you can generate with the ones at the top of the field today, no Runway account needed. Strong places to start:

No. Runway AI is no longer available on getimg.ai. The Runway integration has been removed, so you can't select Runway models here anymore.

You'll find current top models like Seedance 2.5, Gemini Omni and HappyHorse 1.1 in the sections above.
Runway Gen-3 Turbo and Gen-4 Turbo were previously available on getimg.ai, but they aren't anymore. While it was here, Gen-3 Turbo let you set the first and last frame and output 16:9 or 9:16 clips up to 10 seconds (5 with a last frame) at 720p, 24 fps.
Gen-4 Turbo dropped last-frame control but produced smoother, more natural motion and added a 1:1 square format alongside 16:9 and 9:16. Neither is available on getimg.ai now. For first- and last-frame control, use a current model like Seedance 2.5 or Kling 3.0 Pro instead.
Yes. Runway is an independent AI company, founded in 2018, and it's still very active, with its own creative platform. It's only gone from getimg.ai; the company and its models continue on their own.
Runway's current flagship is Gen-4.5, announced in December 2025. It generates video from a text prompt or a still image. Gen-4.5 follows Gen-4, which followed the Gen-3 and Gen-3 Turbo generation.
No. Gen-4.5 is not available on getimg.ai; you'd use it on Runway's own platform. Here, generate video with current top models such as Seedance 2.5, Gemini Omni, or Kling 3.0 Pro.
