Guide to using Uncrop

Learn to expand your images beyond their borders with our comprehensive Uncrop guide. Discover key tips, techniques, and creative use cases.

How to use Uncrop?

Step 1. Upload your image(s) and wait

Open the Uncrop tool and drag your chosen image(s) into the upload area, or click to select them from your file system.

Depending on your subscription plan, you can expand up to 10 images simultaneously. There’s no need to click anything to start the process: image extension will begin immediately after the upload.

Tip:

Always start with high-quality images for the best expansion results.

Step 2. Compare the “before” and “after”

Once the uncropping is complete, you can compare the original and expanded versions by clicking the icon beneath the output and moving an interactive slider. Take a moment to examine the newly added content and ensure it meets your expectations.

Step 3. Download

If you love the result, simply click the download button to save your newly enhanced image. You can also add it to your “Liked” category or delete it from our servers.

Uncropped many images? Navigate them using the panel on the right side of the tool or by scrolling with your mouse.

Iterate to “unzoom” the image

You can further expand your image by downloading and uncropping an already uncropped photo, and then repeating this as many times as you want.

This technique allows you to "unzoom" the image, revealing even more of the scene.

Remember that while you can expand the image multiple times, the resolution will remain unchanged. To ensure all the details remain crisp and clear, consider using our Upscaler tool.
