Start by choosing the Text to Video mode in the Video Generator interface.
Once selected, you’ll be able to choose from a set of models, each with its own strengths and specifications.
Available models in Text to Video mode (click on the model you'd like to try to go to the Video Generator with it already selected):
Kling 1.6 Standard – 5s videos, 720p resolution
Kling 2.0 Master – 5s videos, 720p resolution
Google Veo 2 – 8s videos, 720p resolution (longer duration than most)
MiniMax 01 Standard – 5s videos, 720p resolution

Want a deeper comparison? Check out our Video Generator model guide for full specs and strengths of each model.
Step 2. Write a Prompt
This is the creative core of the process. Your video is only as good as your prompt.
Tips for effective prompts:
Be specific. Instead of “a bird flying,” try “a blue parrot flying over a tropical waterfall in golden light.”
Describe:
Main subject or scene description (what/who is being filmed)
Setting details (location, time of day, weather, atmosphere)
Camera movements (e.g., zooms, tilts, pans)
Visual style (lighting, color palette, mood)
Any specific actions or movements happening in the scene
The atmosphere and emotional tone you want to convey.

The Hailuo MiniMax 01 Director model is optimized for 15 specific camera movements. Below the prompt box, you'll find options to select specific camera actions:
Truck left/right: the camera moves horizontally
Pan left/right: the camera pivots horizontally
Push in/Pull out: the camera moves closer to or further from the subject
Pedestal up/down: the camera moves vertically
Tilt up/down: the camera pivots vertically
Zoom in/out: the camera's focal length changes
Shake: the camera shakes, creating a sense of instability
Tracking shot: the camera follows a moving subject
Static shot: the camera remains stationary.
If you chose this model, click on the camera movements that best suit your desired cinematic effect. You can select up to three actions at a time.
"A young woman with striking icy-blue eyes gazes directly into the camera. Her face is framed by an intricate crystalline hood, shimmering with frost. The camera slowly zooms in, capturing the delicate ice-like patterns forming on her porcelain skin. Snowflakes swirl gently around her as her expression remains serene yet powerful. A subtle glow emanates from within her eyes, hinting at hidden supernatural energy. [Zoom in]"
Step 3. Adjust Parameters and (Optionally) Add a Soundtrack
Below the prompt box, you'll find a few key settings you can or cannot adjust, depending on the model:
Duration (length of the video)
Aspect Ratio (e.g., 16:9, 9:16, 1:1)
Quality (e.g., 720p).
Set the parameters as you see fit.
If you want background music for your video, simply check the “Generate soundtrack” box. The AI will generate music that matches the mood and action of your video based on your prompt.
Step 4. Generate Your Video
Once your prompt is ready and your settings are in place, click "Generate video." Then, wait a few moments for processing. When it’s done, you can preview and download your clips.
