Guide to Exporting Images from Image Editor
Download to your device, upscale, or animate—this guide shows how to export images from getimg.ai’s Image Editor with ease.
Export Types
Once you're done making changes to your image in the Image Editor, press the “Export” button in the top right corner of the interface. You’ll then see three distinct export options.
Export to Upscaler
This will automatically send your image to the Upscaler tool. The upscaling process begins immediately using the image you just edited. Wait a few moments for the process to complete.
Once it's done, you'll see a side-by-side comparison of the original and the upscaled image. From there, you can download the high-resolution version.
Take a look at our Upscaler guide to learn more about this feature.
Export to Video Generator
This option sends your image directly to the Video Generator. Your image will be used as the starting frame or subject image.
If you’re not sure what to do next, check out our guide to using the Video Generator for step-by-step instructions.
Export Image
Select this to download the image directly to your device.
Export Parameters (for Export Image Only)
If you decided to use the "Export Image" option, you’ll be asked to choose your export format and size:
Choose a Format: JPEG or PNG
If you choose PNG, no additional settings are needed for quality.
If you choose JPEG, you'll be asked to set the JPEG Quality.
JPEG Quality determines how much compression is applied.
The default value is 80%, but you can select any value between 20% and 100%.
Higher quality = better image clarity, but a larger file size.
Lower quality = more compression, smaller file, but potentially visible quality loss.

Set the Export Size Multiplier
This controls the dimensions of your final image.
You don’t enter pixel dimensions directly. Instead, you use a scaling factor based on the original size.
For example, if your image is originally 1280 x 1280 pixels, and you choose a size of x4, your exported image will be 5120 x 5120 pixels.
The scaling options range from 0.25x up to 8x the original size.
You can use the slider (in 0.25 increments) or type in a more precise value like 1.65.
The default is 1x, which keeps the original size.

Keep in mind: larger sizes mean larger files, which may take longer to download. On slower connections (like mobile data in areas with weak signal), the download may fail or take longer than usual.
That’s everything you need to know to export your image just the way you want it—give it a try!
