Guide to Custom Generation Parameters
Learn how to pick a specific model, toggle prompt enhancement, and use the quality switch in getimg.ai.
Why Adjust Generation Parameters?
By default, getimg.ai picks the best model for your prompt and applies prompt enhancement for you. That’s Auto: what most people use, and what we recommend.
But if you’d like more control, you can pick a specific model yourself, toggle prompt enhancement on or off, and use the quality switch on models that support it.
🧠 Choosing a Model
In the bottom left of the prompt box, you’ll see a button showing Auto (or the current model name).
- Click the Auto / model name button to open the model menu.
- Pick the model you want from the list.
Once you pick a model, the prompt box updates with the options that model supports, including:
- Supported aspect ratios
- Supported number of variations
- For video: available lengths.
- Some models support a quality switch. When you’re on one of those models, the switch sits next to the aspect ratio in the prompt box. On Auto or a model that doesn’t support quality, the switch simply isn’t there.
✏️ Turning Prompt Enhancement On or Off
By default, Prompt Enhancement is active. It expands short prompts into detailed, high-quality descriptions automatically.
Open the model menu (same Auto / model name button in the bottom left of the prompt box) and toggle the Prompt Enhancer switch.
Auto needs prompt enhancement on, so if you want to turn it off you’ll also need to pick a specific model.
We strongly recommend keeping prompt enhancement on unless you’re experimenting or testing specific prompt structures.
🔄 Returning to Auto
Want to go back to smart automatic settings? Open the model menu again and pick Auto.
Choose the approach that fits your flow: hands-off or hands-on, you’ll get great results either way.
