Guide to Uploading Images

Upload your own images to edit, enhance, or use as references in getimg.ai. Here’s how it works.

📁 How to Upload Images

🟣 For "Create an image" or "Create a video", click the "Reference" button in the top-left corner of the prompt box at the bottom of the page and press "Upload file".

🟣 For other Actions: click the "Upload" button at the bottom of the page.

  • Select a file from your device.
  • In a moment, you'll see your image in the prompt box.

🧭 Finding and Managing Uploads

To browse all your uploads, select the Uploads folder in the sidebar on the left.

From there, you can:

  • Delete uploaded images you no longer need
  • Download them to your device
  • Add them to folders for organization
  • Use them as references for future generations.

You can also click the plus icon next to the folder name in the top right corner to upload more images or videos.

👥 Working in Teams

If you’re part of a Team, uploaded images are shared automatically: everyone can see and use them in the same space.

🖼️ Using Uploaded Images

You can use your uploaded images in a few ways:

  • From the References window: click the "Reference" button in the prompt box and press "Select existing" (or click "Select asset" for Actions where you don't write a prompt), then pick an image from the Uploaded tab.
  • From image's full view: head to the Uploaded folder on the sidebar, click an image to open it, then type your edit in the prompt box below (for example, “remove the person in the background” or “turn this into a painting”). An edit creates a new image while keeping your original untouched.
  • From the image menu: open the Uploaded folder, click the three dots on an image’s top-right corner, then choose Use as reference and write a prompt in the main prompt box (or choose other Action from the three dots menu, e.g., Remove background).

Once you start uploading, you’ll see how easy it is to build your own reference library: ready to edit, reuse, or share whenever you need.
