Guide to using Image to Image in Real-Time AI Generator

Learn how to restyle existing images into new creations using Real-Time AI Generator's Image to Image feature. See the results change as you type.

What is Image to Image, and how it works?

Image to Image is a powerful feature in Real-Time AI Generator that allows you to use an existing image as a starting point for AI-generated artwork. It transforms images (photographs, digital art, and more) into different styles and blends them with AI-generated content.

As an example, here’s how this photo changed between different styles, with the prompt always being “close-up on a lion's face, neon lights, cyberpunk”, and the Strength parameter set to 100%.

Image to Image in Real-Time AI Generator: step-by-step tutorial

Step 1. Upload your image

Look for the "Add photo" button next to the top left corner of the image box. Click the button to select an image from your device, or simply drag and drop an image onto the button.

Step 2. Write a prompt

After uploading your image, type a prompt describing what you want to see in the transformed image. Be as specific as possible about the changes or additions you want. You’ll see the image change with every character you type.

Step 3. Choose a Style

Select one of the available styles for your output image:

Base;
Photorealism;
Anime Illustration;
3D Toon;
B&W Sketch.

Remember that you can switch between styles at any time.

Step 4. Adjust the Strength

Fine-tune the Strength parameter to balance between preserving original elements and introducing new ones.

Use the slider to control how much the result will differ from your uploaded image:

higher values: the result will have more variance from the original;
lower values: the result will be more similar to the source image.

Step 5. Refine and download

Watch as the AI generates your new image in real-time. Use the left and right arrow keys (or arrow icons) to switch between seeds. You can also adjust the seed value manually or click a button to randomize it.

Tinker with the prompt, Strength, and styles until you’re satisfied with the result. Then, download the image using the download icon in its bottom right corner.
