Guide to Using Elements

Learn how to use Elements to generate consistent images with specific people, products, and styles without re-uploading reference images every time.

What Does It Mean to Use an Element?

Using an Element means referencing it directly in your prompt so the AI knows exactly what subject, style, or visual concept you are talking about.

Once an Element is created, you can call it by name using the @ symbol. The AI then takes that Element into account during image generation or image editing.

Tip:

Elements help you reuse the same subject across many generations without having to manually add reference images every time. They are especially useful for:

  • Consistent characters
  • Product photography
  • Brand visuals in a specific color palette
  • Lighting presets
  • Repeating layouts for social media or marketing.

Where Can Elements Be Used?

Elements are used directly in the prompt input of the Content Generator.

You do not need to open a separate panel or setting to activate them. As long as an Element exists in your account, it can be used in any image generation prompt.

How to Use an Element in a Prompt

There are two main ways to add an Element to your prompt.

Note:

Elements can only be used for generating images, not for generating videos.

Method 1: Type the Element Name Manually

If you know the Element name, type @ followed by the name anywhere in your prompt.

Examples:

  • A candid photo of @Me at the park
  • @Me sitting in a café, natural light
  • A product photo of @MyPerfume on a marble table.

The Element does not need to be at the beginning or end of the prompt. Place it wherever it makes sense in the sentence.

As you type, you will see an autocomplete list of your Elements. You can click one to insert it instead of typing the full name.

Method 2: Use the Elements Button

You can also add Elements using the Elements picker in the prompt box.

To do this:

  1. Click the Elements button inside the prompt input, to the left of the Reference button.
  2. Browse the list of your Elements. Use the search bar to quickly find a specific Element if needed.
  3. Click an Element to add it to your prompt.

Each Element includes a small thumbnail to help you recognize it quickly.

Using Multiple Elements Together

You can use more than one Element in a single prompt.

This is useful for combining subjects, styles, and environments.

Examples:

  • @Me holding @MyCat
  • A portrait of @Me in the style of @FilmPhotography
  • A product photo of @MyShoes using @BrandLighting and @BrandColors.

Removing an Element From a Prompt

Removing an Element from a prompt does not delete it from your account.

To remove an Element from a prompt:

  • Click the small x next to the Element name in the prompt
  • Or place your cursor next to it and press backspace.

You can add it again later if needed.

Tip:

Want to delete an Element permanently (or edit it)? Read our Guide to Managing Elements.

Using Elements With Reference Images

Elements and reference images can be used together.

This works well when:

  • You want a consistent main subject from an Element
  • You need one-off visual guidance from a Reference image.
Example:

Use an Element for a recurring character and a Reference image to guide a specific pose or setting for one generation.
