What Are Video Generation Models
Each model is a distinct AI trained for video generation, producing slightly different movement, texture, and visual feel.
Auto automatically picks the best one for your prompt, and it’s what we recommend for most users. It also selects audio-capable models when your prompt asks for sound.
If you want to compare results between models or test a specific one, click the Auto / model name button in the bottom-left of the prompt box and pick a model from the list. A speaker icon next to a model name indicates whether that model supports audio.

Video and Audio References
Five models accept video files as references, not just images: Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3, MiniMax H3 Max, Wan 3.0, and Kling 4.0. On the first four you can attach up to 3 video references and up to 3 audio references per generation. Kling 4.0 takes up to 5 video references and no audio references. All five combine video references with reference images in the same video.
Each attached file can run up to 15 seconds on MiniMax H3, MiniMax H3 Max and Wan 3.0, and that limit covers audio as well as video. Seedance 2.5 takes 30 seconds of either, so a full-length music track fits there and not on the others. On Kling 4.0, the attached clips can run up to 30 seconds in total. Attaching them works the same way as adding reference images to a video, through the Reference button in the prompt box.
Each model has its strengths, so don't be afraid to test and compare. The best way to find your favorite is simply to create and see what fits your style.
Frequently Asked Questions
Most current models generate sound, so it is quicker to name the ones that do not: Seedance 1.0 Pro, Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast, Kling 2.5 Pro Turbo and MiniMax 2 Pro output silent video. Everything else in the table above generates native audio, including FLUX 3, Wan 3.0, the full Seedance 2.x family, Google Veo 3.1, Kling 4.0, the Kling 3.0 models, the MiniMax H3 models and Grok Imagine. When picking a model yourself, look for the speaker icon next to the model name in the model list to spot the audio-capable ones at a glance.
Reference Images, which guide specific characters, objects or places rather than fixing one exact frame, are only supported by some models. Current options include Wan 3.0, HappyHorse 1 and 1.1, the Seedance 2.x family, Gemini Omni Flash and Gemini Omni Flash 1.1, Google Veo 3.1, Kling 4.0, Kling O3, MiniMax H3 and MiniMax H3 Max. The References column in the table above shows which inputs each model accepts, so if the Reference Image option is unavailable, switch to a model that lists it.
Five models take video references: Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3, MiniMax H3 Max, Wan 3.0 and Kling 4.0, and the first four take audio references too. On those four you can attach up to 3 video references and up to 3 audio references in a single generation, and combine them with reference images in the same video, up to 9 images on MiniMax H3 and up to 2 on MiniMax H3 Max. Each attached file can run up to 15 seconds on MiniMax H3, MiniMax H3 Max and Wan 3.0, audio as well as video, while Seedance 2.5 takes 30 seconds of either. Kling 4.0 takes up to 5 video references with 30 seconds of footage in total, plus up to 10 reference images. Every other model in the table takes reference images or frame inputs only.
Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0 and Kling 4.0 go furthest, all reaching 30 seconds in a single clip, and FLUX 3 reaches 20. A larger group tops out at 15 seconds, including HappyHorse 1 and 1.1, Seedance 2.0 and 2.0 Fast, Kling 3.0 Pro and 3.0 Turbo, the MiniMax H3 models and Grok Imagine Video 1.5. Most of the rest sit between 10 and 12 seconds, while Google Veo 3.1 is fixed at 8 seconds and Wan 2.5 at 5.
All models support First Frame control, but Last Frame is more limited. If you need to define exactly how a clip ends, current options include FLUX 3, Wan 3.0, the whole Seedance 2.x family, Seedance 1.5 Pro, Seedance 1.0 Pro, Gemini Omni Flash 1.1, Google Veo 3.1, Kling 4.0, Kling O3, Kling 3.0 Pro and the MiniMax H3 models. Models built around animating a single still, such as HappyHorse, Kling 3.0 Turbo, Wan 2.6 and Grok Imagine, offer First Frame only.

Yes, several models let you pick, and the Quality column in the table above lists the options for each. Seedance 2.0, Kling O3, Kling 3.0 Pro and Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 reach 4K, while MiniMax H3 tops out at 2K. Most of the rest let you choose between 720p and 1080p, and several, including Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0, Grok Imagine Video 1.5 and MiniMax H3 Max, also offer 480p for faster, cheaper drafts. If a model shows only one quality option, it generates at a fixed resolution.
